Southdown & Eridge Hunt
Welcome to the Southdown & Eridge Hunt website.
The Southdown & Eridge Hunt kennels are located in Ringmer, East Sussex near to the South Downs, with country covering part of East Sussex, West Sussex and West Kent. The hunt was formed in 1981 by the amalgamation of the Southdown Hunt and the Eridge Hunt. Since 18th February 2005, the Southdown & Eridge continue to hunt with hounds, but do so within the law and restrictions of the Hunting Act 2004.
The hunt meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays during open season, although meets do take place on other days over the Christmas period and for children's meets during school holidays. The Hunt welcome visitors and supporters, mounted or on foot. Mounted followers should make prior arrangements with the Honorary Secretaries.
The old Southdown & Eridge Hunt web site, www.foxhunters.net/sande is still live and will remain so for the foreseeable future. The site can still be used to access historic galleries etc.
