Firle Park Hunter Trials 2012
Firle Park Hunter Trials will take place at Firle Park, Lewes, East Sussex on Saturday 24th March 2012 by kind permission of The Viscount Gage and Andrew Barr Esq.
Firle Park is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of the South Downs located 2 miles east of Lewes on the A27. The park is overlooked by Firle Place, the home of the Gage Family for over 500 years.

The schedule of events for the day as are follows:
- Class 1 Novice Pairs (Yellow Course). 2ft6 Approximately. Open to all. Dressing fence numbers (to be jumped together side by side. Failure to do so will incur penalties) to be posted in the Secretary's caravan and Start box on Friday 20th March 2012 from 12 noon.
- Class 2 Novice (Yellow Course). 2ft6 Approximately. Open to Horses/Ponies which have not won or been placed second in any Horse or Hunter Trial before the day from 2009 onwards. Trophy to the winner.
- Class 3. Intermediate Trios (teams of three) (Green Course). 3ft Approximately. Open to all. Team of three. All three riders to start together. The last of the trio to cross the finish line is when the timing clock will stop. Winners will be the fastest round with the least amount of penalties.
- Class 4 Intermediate (Green Course). 3ft Approximately. Open to horses/ponies which have not won a Hunter Trial or ODE from 2009 onwards. Trophy to the winner.
Please note:
- Entries close on Saturday 10th March 2012 or earlier if 400 entries received before this date.
- No telephone entries accepted. No late entries.
- All entries must be made on the official entry form.

Additionally you can download and complete a "commentary sheet" to provide information about you and your horse. This will be used by the commentators during the event. Completed forms should be returned to the secretary with the entry form.
